Will Smith started out as a famously curse-free rapper alongside Jeff Townes in the duo DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince. His breakout sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air - which ran for 6 seasons, from 10 September 1990 to 1996 on NBC - launched a blockbuster film career that spanned for decades, with notable hits like Bad Boys (1995), Independence Day (1996) and Men in Black (1997), alongside Oscar-nominated performances in Ali (2001), The Pursuit of Happyness (2006) and I Am Legend (2007). He finally won the Academy Award for King Richard (2021).
