Simon and Garfunkel split

Despite the acclaim, the making of the Bridge over Troubled Water was troubled for Simon and Garfunkel and the pair went their separate ways in 1970.

The pair have had a volatile relationship throughout their career, despite reuniting on several occasions, and Paul admitted in a 2016 interview that the duo wouldn't tour again as they "don't get along".

The strained relationship could be explained by the seven-inch height difference between the five foot nine Art and five foot two Paul.
