Ricky Wilson has signed up for I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!.

The Kaiser Chiefs frontman is said to have "politely declined" a chance to appear in the Australian jungle-based show several times in the past, but he has now "finally given in".

A source told The Sun newspaper: "I’m A Celeb bosses have been trying to sign Ricky up for years, but he’s always politely declined.

"Now he’s finally given in. Bosses are overjoyed and think he will be a great addition to the camp."

Several other stars including Gavin and Stacey actress Joanna Page and Paralympian and TV presenter Ade Adepitan are also said to be in talks about taking part.

Big Brother host AJ Odudu has been in negotiations about starring in the Ant and Dec-fronted series.

AJ is said to be “keen” to venture into the Australian jungle for the upcoming series of the ITV reality favourite, with the dates said to be working out for the star.

Earlier this month, a source told The Sun newspaper: “Once AJ’s Big Brother working dates were secured, she put herself into the frame for I’m A Celebrity.

“She’s had early conversations about taking part and has made it clear she can absolutely make the dates they need her to.

“AJ loves the show and would love facing the Bushtucker Trials.”

Love Island star Chloe Burrows is also thought to be in "advanced talks" about jetting Down Under for the series later this year, in the hope she might bring a "younger audience" to the programme.

A source told The Sun: “Chloe is in advanced talks and they love her. She was hugely popular in Love Island. She made it clear she’d love a chance to go to Australia to be on the show.

“She has a very big following on social media too, very much like Angry Ginge and GK Barry, and ITV bosses think she could bring in a younger audience.

“ITV moves with the times. They’ve seen the surge of popularity with influencers.”

But ITV said: “Any names suggested are just speculation.”
