Alternate casting

Before the final team assembled, half of Hollywood had a shot at joining the Fantastic Four.

George Clooney and Brendan Fraser were floated as possible Mr. Fantastics. The Invisible Woman could’ve been played by anyone from Scarlett Johansson to Rachel McAdams, and Tim Robbins was even considered for Doctor Doom.

Paul Walker, Renée Zellweger and James Gandolfini were all in the running too, proving just how different the final product could’ve looked.

Eventually, Marvel had found their Fantastic Four - Ioan Gruffudd as Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic, Jessica Alba as Sue Storm/The Invisible Woman, Chris Evans as Johnny Storm/The Human Torch and Michael Chiklis as Ben Grimm/The Thing.

Meanwhile, Julian McMahon landed the role of Victor Von Doom/Dr. Doom.
