Going solo
Sir Paul McCartney’s debut solo album, McCartney, was released in 1970, marking both the end of The Beatles and the beginning of Wings.
A decade later, as Wings came to a close, he released his second solo album, McCartney II. Widely regarded as one of the most successful solo artists in rock history, McCartney has topped the U.S. charts nine times and collaborated with stars like Michael Jackson and Stevie Wonder.
Over the past two decades, his live performances have made him a must-see act, with setlists packed full of Beatles favourites such as Hey Jude, Let It Be, Get Back, and Yesterday.
