Humanitarian efforts

In addition to her work in film, Angelina Jolie has devoted much of her time to humanitarian causes.

In 2001, she was named a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).

Since then, Jolie has visited more than 40 countries, championing the rights of refugees and displaced individuals.

Her efforts have earned her international recognition and numerous humanitarian awards.
