Gavin and Stacey and Rivals honoured at Royal Television Society Programme Awards
'Gavin and Stacey' creators James Corden and Ruth Jones and 'Rivals' actor Danny Dyer took home prizes at the Royal Television Society Programme Awards on Tuesday (25.03.25).

'Gavin and Stacey', 'Rivals' and 'Alma's Not Normal' were amongst the winners at the Royal Television Society Programme Awards 2025.
Stars including James Corden and Ruth Jones, Danny Dyer, Anna Maxwell Martin and Claudia Winkleman all took home prizes at the ceremony celebrating the UK television industry at London's JW Marriott Grosvenor House Hotel on Tuesday (25.03.25) evening.
Across the 29 competitive categories, the BBC led the way with 16 wins – three of which went to Sophie Willan's sitcom 'Alma's Not Normal'.
The show won the Comedy Drama prize whilst Willan won in both the Comedy Performance – Female and Writer – Comedy categories.
Channel 4 took home five gongs, with the network's coverage of the 2024 Paralympic Games being honoured in both the Sports Programme category and Sports Presenter, Commentator or Pundit for the presenting pair Rose Ayling-Ellis and Clare Balding.
The Disney+ drama 'Rivals' also picked up multiple awards, including a win in the Supporting Actor – Male category for Danny Dyer and the Writer – Drama award for Dominic Treadwell-Collins and Laura Wade.
In the Leading Actor categories, Anna Maxwell Martin scooped the female award for her performance in ITV's true crime drama 'Until I Kill You' and Lennie James took home the male prize for his work in the BBC series 'Mr Loverman'.
The prestigious Judges' Award went to James Corden and Ruth Jones in recognition of their work as creators and writers of the beloved BBC sitcom 'Gavin and Stacey', which aired its final episode last Christmas.
Elsewhere, the Outstanding Achievement Award was presented to Claudia Winkleman in honour of her career in entertainment broadcasting and presenting.
