Jodie Comer

While only briefly appearing in the saga, Jodie Comer has a big part to play in ‘Star Wars’.

The actress played Rey’s (Daisy Ridley) mother in ‘Star Wars: Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker’ who dies protecting her daughter from the Emperor’s (Ian McDiarmid) assassin Ochi of Bestoon in a flashback scene.

Looking back on the movie, Comer said working on ‘The Rise of Skywalker’ was “spectacular”.

She said: “Hearing the detail that goes into the makeup and the costumes, it was so eye-opening.

“Speaking about green screen and visual effects, when I got ‘Star Wars’, I was like, ‘They'll probably be a lot that I don't see.’ But these kinds of figures, their mouths move and they were remote-controlled and there was so much there that you didn't have to imagine.”
