Daniel Craig
Daniel Craig traded his tuxedo and his licence to kill for Stormtrooper armour in ‘Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens’.
The actor briefly appears in the 2015 movie as the Stormtrooper who Rey (Daisy Ridley) mind controls to free her from her Starkiller Base prison cell.
Craig revealed that he had reached out to the film’s second assistant director, Ben Dixon, asking if he could land a small role as a Stormtrooper - but he never expected to have such a significant moment on screen.
He recalled: “Thing was, I thought ‘background stormtrooper.’ I mean, I wanted to do that guy that bumps his head in the original one, you know that person who drops his lightsaber or something.
“Then I was in a whole scene, I was like, ‘Ok!’ And we did the scene and then I just thought they’ll loop me, they’ll put another voice on it, you know.
“Then I had to spend like three hours with JJ Abrams on a looping session like doing all the dialogues. Like, ‘really, you want me to do this? Get someone else to do this!’”
