It wasn’t just George Lucas who became a target for angry ‘Star Wars’ fans, as Hayden Christensen also took a lot of hate.

The 43-year-old actor - who portrayed Anakin Skywalker/ Darth Vader in ‘Episode II - Attack of the Clones’ and ‘Episode III - Revenge of the Sith’ - received backlash from fans due to his performance, which had driven him away from the franchise for years.

He recalled: “I guess the impression that I got from George Lucas was that if they don’t like them, then they don’t ‘get’ it – and that was good enough for me.”

However, time has been kind to Christensen, and ‘Star Wars’ fans have come to appreciate the actor.

Christensen has since returned to ‘Star Wars’ in the Disney+ TV shows ‘Obi-Wan Kenobi’ and ‘Ahsoka’.
