Die Hard

As perhaps one of the most iconic action movies ever, ‘Die Hard’ firmly cemented Bruce Willis as one of Hollywood’s top action stars.

The 1988 film follows off-duty police officer John McClane who gets trapped in a skyscraper on Christmas Eve during a heist led by criminal mastermind Hans Gruber (Alan Rickman).

Aside from its incredible stuntwork and action sequences, ‘Die Hard’ is best known for being one of the most entertaining Christmas movies out there - even if Willis doesn’t find the feature particularly festive.

He insisted: “‘Die Hard ‘is not a Christmas movie, it’s a Bruce Willis movie!”
