Sin City
As perhaps one of the most visually striking neo-noir films of the early 2000s, ‘Sin City’ showcases Bruce Willis in a gritty, memorable role.
The 2005 film - which was based on several instalments of graphic novels of the same name by Frank Miller - intertwines multiple dark tales set in the corrupt Basin City, focusing on characters like Detective John Hartigan (Willis), who is determined to protect a young girl from a sadistic criminal.
While it missed out at the 78th Academy Awards, ‘Sin City’ received three nominations at the MTV Movie Awards in 2006, those being for est Movie, Best Kiss between Rosario Dawson and Clive Owen and Sexiest Performance for Jessica Alba.
