‘Moonrise Kingdom’ is a real joy to watch - and the coming-of-age flick has Bruce Willis to thank for that!

The 2012 movie follows two young lovers who run away together on a New England island in the 1960s, prompting a quirky but heartfelt search led by the local police captain (Bruce Willis) and a cast of eccentric townspeople.

Playing against type, Willis delivered a surprisingly tender and understated performance, bringing warmth and depth to his role as a lonely yet good-natured authority figure.
