Pulp Fiction
Not just one of Bruce Willis’ best movies but also perhaps one of the best films ever made, ‘Pulp Fiction’ is a stand-out in the actor’s career.
The 1994 picture - which also stars Samuel L. Jackson, John Travolta, Uma Thurman and Ving Rhames - weaves together multiple interlocking stories of Los Angeles mobsters, small-time criminals, and a mysterious briefcase.
Willis portrayed Butch Coolidge, an ageing boxer who has to go on the run after double-crossing crime boss Marsellus Wallace (Rhames) by refusing to throw a fight.
Not only is ‘Pulp Fiction’ a masterclass in storytelling from director Quentin Tarantino, but it also earned Willis newfound respect as a serious actor after a number of his previous films flopped.
