The reality star and her ex-husband husband, Kanye West, had two of their four children via surrogate, Chicago and Psalm.

After she developed placenta accreta - a potentially life-threatening condition - during her first two pregnancies, it was unsafe for Kim to get pregnant again.

However, she did not find the experience easy.

Speaking in 2017, Kim said: "You know, it is really different. Anyone that says or thinks it is just the easy way out is just completely wrong. I think it is so much harder to go through it this way, because you are not really in control."
