The actor and his husband, David Butka, had twins, son Gideon and daughter Harper, via surrogate in 2010.

During a 2020 appearance on ‘Wendy’, he revealed that two women were involved and, to this day, they don’t know which twin is biologically theirs.

He said: "There was an egg donor, a wonderful woman who was anonymous. We took two of our best guys and implanted them into her eggs, two different eggs."
