Her real name is Kayleigh Rose Amstutz

The singer is the daughter of Kara and Dwight and she has her grandfather to thank for her stage name.

It is a reference to her grandpa Dennis Chappell and his favorite song ‘The Strawberry Roan’ by Curley Fletcher as he was a huge champion of her musical dream.

At the beginning of her career, Chappell would say to the crowd: "Don’t call me baby, and don’t call me Kayleigh.”
