The actor made the most of his connections as he made friends with Dustin Hoffman's children Rebecca and Jake.

He was then asked by Hoffman to audition for a part alongside him in 'I Heart Huckabees', in which he made his movie debut.

He has gone to enjoy an extensive film career - earning Oscar nominations for his work in 'Moneyball' and 'The Wolf of Wall Street' - while appearing in comedies 'The 40-Year-Old Virgin' and 'Knocked Up'.
