As the ‘X-Men’ saga began to wind down, it soon became abundantly clear ‘Logan’ could never be topped.

The 2017 film proved to be a very mature and yet oddly relatable tale about Hugh Jackman’s iteration of the Wolverine, and managed to wrap up both the hero and Professor X’s stories perfectly.

At the time, the actor said it was unequivocally the last time he would play the character.

He said: “I think I’m pretty much danced out, and I had a great time. It’s been an unbelievable ride, but it feels right.”

Even though ‘Logan’ was indeed a brilliant send-off to the character, the beloved mutant will return very soon in ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’.
