Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade
'Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade' is perhaps the best movie in the series, and the numbers certainly reflect that too.
On a budget of $48 million, the movie – which starred Harrison Ford, Sir Sean Connery and Julian Glover - burst onto the scene in 1989 with a massive $29.4 million in its first three days, before leaving cinemas having made $474.2 million overall.
As well as being considered the best entry in the franchise by many, 'Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade' is also the personal favourite of director Steven Spielberg, who based Indy's evolving relationship with his father on that of himself and his dad's.
