Ending inspiration
While ‘The Sixth Sense’s' "they were dead the whole time" ending is one of the most iconic plot twists in all of cinema, it’s not the first time this idea was seen on the silver screen.
In the cult classic 1962 horror flick ‘Carnival of Souls’, a young woman begin to visit a deserted carnival at the edge of her Utah town after she was involved in a car accident at the beginning of the movie.
It’s later revealed that the woman died in the crash and the rest of the picture was about her soul trying to move on from the tragedy.
