Keanu the stuntman

Before 'The Matrix' and 'John Wick' proved Keanu Reeves was a proficient physical performer, 'Speed' director Jan de Bont was insistent he couldn't perform his own stunts.

Still, the actor wouldn’t take 'no' as an answer, and secretly practised some sequences.

In particular, Keanu was determined to perform the scene where Jack jumps from the Jaguar onto the bus, and so spent a lot of time perfecting the sequence.

When it came to shooting the scene, Jan was hesitant to let the actor do the stunt himself, but eventually conceded and let Keanu do the sequence, much to the director's dismay.
