Before turning to Hollywood, Edward Neumeier went to the comic book industry’s heaviest hitters to see if he see his ideas come to life on the page first instead of the screen.
In 1984 - just after ‘The Terminator’ hit theatres and proved to be a major success - the writer took it to Marvel Comics legend Stan Lee, who quickly dismissed his story after watching the James Cameron blockbuster.
Stan told Edward: “Boy, you’re never going to top that!”
