Jordan Peele made his directorial debut in this 2017 horror, and it was a debut that did not disappoint. ‘Get Out’ follows Chris Washington, played by Daniel Kaluuya, a young African American man who follows his white girlfriend (Allison Williams) home to meet her family. Chris’ experience at the family home is unsettling, from inappropriate comments made by his girlfriend’s parents to the strange behaviour from the estate’s employees. As he digs deeper, Chris uncovers the disturbing secret that the Armitage family is harbouring.
