Original ending

‘When Harry Met Sally’ has one of the best feel-good endings from any rom-com, but the movie initially ended on a real downer.

Originally, the flick ended with Harry and Sally ultimately deciding to go their separate ways, as Nora Ephron thought that this would be more realistic.

However, after Rob met cinematographer Michele Singer on the set of the film and fell in love with her - with the couple marrying in 1989 - he felt like the flick needed to conclude on a more positive note after finding his own happy ending.

He said: “I just had them walking in opposite directions at the end. And then I met the woman who became my wife during the making of the movie, and I changed the ending.”
