Nervous acting
Even though the character Luca Brasi seemed tough, the actor playing him was absolutely terrified of Brando.
Former wrester Lenny Montana portrayed the mob boss’ personal enforcer in the 1972 picture, and was so nervous to share scenes with Brando as Vito, that he kept stumbling over his lines, particularly during his scene in the study before the wedding sequence.
After finding he didn’t have the time to reshoot the scene, director Coppola opted to keep it the way it was, which made Corleone seem even more intimidating.
