Armageddon

Bruce took on the role of blue-collar deep-core digger Harry Stamper in the sci-fi disaster movie. It sees Bruce's character and an ensemble cast - including Ben Affleck, Billy Bob Thornton and Liv Tyler - head to space to stop a giant asteroid colliding with earth. Though the film received mostly negative reviews, it grossed $553.7 million worldwide and was the highest-grossing film of 1998. Bruce won the award for Best Actor - Sci-Fi at the Blockbuster Entertainment Awards.
