In 1994, Bruce starred in Quentin Tarantino's masterpiece along with John Travolta, Samuel L. Jackson and Uma Thurman.

He played Butch Coolidge, an ageing boxer who has to go on the run after double-crossing crime boss Marsellus Wallace by refusing to throw a fight.

The role came after a number of his films flopped, but the success of 'Pulp Fiction' bought him new respect as an actor in Tarantino's story.

The movie grossed to a near $213 million worldwide, earning back its $8 million budget and quickly became regarded as one of the most significant films of its era.
