Die Hard

In 1988, Bruce earned his action hero status in 'Die Hard' playing off-duty police officer John McClane who gets trapped in a skyscraper on Christmas Eve during a heist led by criminal mastermind Hans Gruber (Alan Rickman).

The film grossed over $148 million worldwide and has spawned four sequels, a comic book and a number of hugely popular video games.
