Production nightmare
The production on ‘Dune’ proved to be a major headache for the cast and crew.
In an effort to cut costs, the movie was shot mostly in Mexico, where roughly 1,700 crew members had to help build 80 film sets on 16 different sound stages.
Production then came to a standstill when lots of the team suffered an illness called Montezuma’s Revenge, also known as 'traveller's diarrhoea'.
There was also thick smog, constant blackouts and cockroach infestations for the cast and crew to deal with.
