5. Brokeback Mountain

Next on the Valentine’s list is ‘Brokeback Mountain’ with a 7.7. score on IMDb. The 2005 LGBTQ+ romantic movie revolves around cowboys Jack (Jake Gyllenhaal) and Ennis (Heath Ledger) and their complex relationship in the American West between the 1960s and 1980s.

The film was a success at the Oscars with Ang Lee taking home the prize for Best Director - although it controversially missed out on the Best Picture gong to 'Crash'.
