Jodie Foster
Jodie Foster was just 12 years old when she played young street walker Iris Steensma in the 1976 thriller ‘Taxi Driver’.
In the movie, her character is rescued from her bleak existence by Travis Bickle (Robert De Niro).
The 61-year-old actress recalled her experience working on 'Taxi Driver' during an interview with Jimmy Kimmel, admitting that her age and the subject matter made the filmmaker and De Niro nervous.
She said: “I was 12. And they had to say things like, you know, ‘Can you pull his fly down?’ It was a little awkward. So, I was like, ‘Whatever. Just, move over.’ They were a little scared, Scorsese especially, who kept giggling every time he talked to me. He’d start giggling and De Niro had to take over.”
