Catherine Oxenberg became a breakout star through her role as Amanda Carrington on the series but upon learning that her fee had gone up for the second season, producers hastily replaced her with Karen Cellini. According to reports, she simply received a bunch of flowers from producers with a note that read: "Thank you for understanding."
