Dame Joan Collins will always be best known for starring as the scheming Alexis Carrington Colby, and she arrived at the start of the second season looking for her of Blake Carrington (John Forsythe). The character was named the greatest TV villain ever but originally, producers wanted Elizabeth Taylor or Sophia Loren to take the part, but they turned it down.
