Christoph Waltz
Christoph Waltz, 67, played evil SS officer Hans Landa in Tarantino's 2009 World War II drama.
In an interview with GQ, Waltz talked about his experience of working with Tarantino, who is also one of his closest friends.
After being asked if the director’s "poetic" filming style was appealing to him, Waltz answered: “Of course. It would appeal to me in other scripts too, only you don’t encounter it very often. It’s almost a rule that because film is a visual language, you can disregard proper dialogue. […] In London, they’re all poets, even in the little quotidian exchanges. That’s worth special attention. And if I was a screenwriter, it would be my ambition to capture as much of that as possible. Quentin does. Very rarely do the others.”
