Daniel Radcliffe
David Holmes was Daniel Radcliffe’s body double on the ‘Harry Potter’ films, but he suffered a terrible on-set accident that left him in a wheelchair. A fight scene where the snake Nagini sends Harry flying, resulted in Holmes getting severely injured, leading to a quadriplegia diagnosis.
Holmes himself told The Guardian: “I knew straight away. I knew I’d broken my neck. I was fully conscious.” Ever since, and despite the devastating event, Holmes has encouraged author J. K. Rowling to introduce a new ‘Harry Potter’ character: a wizard in a wheelchair.
