Arnold Schwarzenegger
Peter Kent was Arnold Schwarzenegger's stunt double for ‘The Terminator’ and blockbuster sequel 'Terminator 2: Judgment Day' - in which Arnie played the T-800 cyborg.
Kent accidentally got the job after lying to director James Cameron by saying he had experience as a stuntman. Kent recalled: “I had been set up by a casting agency to go over and meet with the director of ‘The Terminator’, James Cameron. Because I originally just went in to see him to be a stand-in for lighting. So, I walked in, and Cameron walked out of his office looked at me and said, ‘You're here for the Arnold thing, right?’ I mean obviously he noticed my height. Then he said, ‘You're perfect.’ The way he said it took me by shock, because he had said it so fast. Then he took about three steps away from me, he stopped, and turned back around and said, ‘Have you ever done any stunts before?’ I thought to myself, ‘What is he asking here? If I say the wrong thing here, I might not get the other job.’ So, I told him yes."
