Sean Astin kept the Goonies map

Often, cast members will keep props from a movie as a memento, which is exactly what happened with Sean Astin. Unfortunately, this story far more tragic than it could have been.

After filming wrapped, the actor, who played Mikey, kept the iconic Goonies map and took it home with him. Sadly, his mother threw it away years later, after she mistook it for a piece of scrap paper.
