Whether or not it’s a Christmas movie, ‘Die Hard’ hero John McClane is most definitely one of cinema’s top action men.

The character - played by Bruce Willis - has thwarted terrorist plots in five films.

Reflecting on his cop character, Bruce described John as a reluctant hero who would have to “step up” when nobody else would.

He said: “What I always say about John McClane is if he had the choice of someone else stepping up and doing what he had to do, he would let them do it.”
