Francis Ford Coppola
The renowned film director, 84, has won five Oscars in total.
His first Academy Award win came in 1970 when he took home the statuette for Best Original Screenplay for co-writing ‘Patton’, an epic biographical war film about US General George S. Patton during World War II.
Coppola was 31 at the time.
In 1972, he won the Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay for Mafia drama 'The Godfather'.
In 1974, he took home three of the most prestigious awards on the night, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Director and Best Picture, for the sequel 'The Godfather Part II'.
