Rosebud
The story ‘Rosebud’, which aired in 1993, is a parody of 1941 film ‘Citizen Kane’ - the title references Charles Foster Kane's dying word "Rosebud".
The episode also contains references to numerous other movies such as 'The Wizard of Oz' and 'Planet of the Apes'.
The plot revolves around Mr. Burns' yearning for his lost childhood teddy bear Bobo.
We see the backstory of the bear, as it is passed down to different people throughout the years from American aviator Charles Lindbergh to Nazi leader Adolf Hitler and eventually Maggie Simpson.
When Mr. Burns discovers that Maggie has his beloved Bobo he punishes Homer and the people of Springfield in a bid to get his teddy back.
