Marge vs. the Monorail
In 1993’s ‘Marge vs. the Monorail’, we meet Lyle Lanley - voiced by 'Saturday Night Live' alum Phil Hartman - who convinces the town of Springfield to build a monorail with the help of a musical number.
Everyone in town is sold on the idea and Homer is given a job as the conductor of the new monorail.
Only Marge is sceptical and she eventually learns that Lanley plans to skim money from the project and flee the city.
When the monorail launches it is not built properly and disaster almost ensues.
'Star Trek' legend Leonard Nimoy appears as himself as part of Lanley's scheme to distract the people of Springfield.
