The music world loses a legend
After a lauded career packed with evergreen hits like 'Jailhouse Rock' and 'Can't Help Falling in Love', he was found unresponsive on the bathroom floor of his Graceland mansion having suffered a heart attack at the age of 42. Then-President Jimmy Carter was amongst the first to pay tribute to singer, saying: "Elvis Presley's death deprives our country of a part of itself. He was unique and irreplaceable. More than twenty years ago he burst upon the scene with an impact that was unprecedented and will probably never be equalled."
