Macaulay is estranged from his father

The ‘American Horror Story’ star has been open about the physical and emotional abuse he suffered at the hands of his father Kit and admitted that anything he learned about fatherhood came from “TV shows and movies”.

Macaulay told Marc Maron in 2018: “I was never tight with him to begin with. My concept of a father is almost one of those things you get from TV, rather than having affection for a father.”
