The ‘Forrest Gump’ star says the fact they “dig each other a lot” is the secret to his happy marriage to the ‘My Big Fat Greek Wedding’ star - with who he has sons Chet, 33, and Truman, 27.

The 67-year-old actor - who tied the knot with Rita, also 67, in 1988 - said: "I think it’s hard to stay married anywhere, but if you marry the right person, it might work out. We give each other a natural sense of support for whatever the other wants to pursue. Our marriage doesn’t require vast work. We have been married 28 years and dig each other a lot.”
