The ‘Valentine’s Day’ star, and the ‘Cry Me River’ hitmaker - who have had sons Phineas, two, and Silas, eight, after getting hitched in 2012 - put their long-lasting love down regular date nights.

The 41-year-old actress told People magazine: “Just be able to communicate really honestly with your partner. That’s worked for us so far. I would never want to speak on anyone else’s relationship, but that’s what we do.”

The 42-year-old singer added to the same outlet: “Even when you get married you have to keep dating… It’s just the difference comes when you have kids you have to actually schedule the date. So when you say you’re going out at 6:30pm, you need to go out at 6:30pm.”
