Emerald's next directing outing is 'Saltburn', which will follow Barry Keoghan's Oliver Quick, who gets drawn into a life of aristocratic indulgence in the shadow of a dark secret.

In an interview with Glamour, Emerald explained what attracted her to the story.

She said: "So, in the Gothic tradition, a romance is always a horror too. I suppose that's because the Gothic is about our relationship with the things that we want and how it is invariably dangerous and complicated. I wanted to make something about how revulsion and anger are just as much a part of desire as love and affection."
