Joni's big break
In 1967, Joni was performing in a nightclub with David Crosby in attendance.
Crosby was immediately taken with her unique voice and compositions. He introduced her to music executives and by 1968 she had released her debut 'Song to a Seagull'.
However, it was her second and third albums that would deliver huge success and David later said: "Don't think you can touch Joni at her best. I don't know if I've ever heard a better singer/songwriter record than the album 'Blue'."
