Dani Dyer looks forward to 'second chance' on Strictly Come Dancing
Dani Dyer is delighted to have been handed another chance at Strictly Come Dancing.
Dani Dyer is thrilled to have been given a "second chance" at Strictly Come Dancing.
The 30-year-old star was forced to withdraw from the BBC show last year after suffering an injury, but Dani is relishing her return for the new series.
Dani - who is the daughter of actor Danny Dyer - told the Daily Mail's Weekend Magazine: "I couldn't say yes fast enough.
"I was so grateful because although I know what happened wasn't my fault, I felt this overwhelming guilt. So to get a second chance is amazing."
Despite this, Dani has admitted to having some pre-show nerves.
The TV star is also determined to avoid another injury mishap.
Dani - who is married to West Ham United footballer Jarrod Bowen - shared: "I'm probably most nervous about getting out on that dancefloor for the first time and being judged.
"I'm my own biggest critic, I'll probably overthink everything. But my biggest fear is getting injured again. I do feel a bit wobbly after what happened, and doing the quickstep will be hard."
In June, Dani revealed that she was thrilled to be making her Strictly return.
The TV star - who previously made appearances on Celebrity MasterChef, Celebrity Gogglebox and EastEnders - said: "I am so excited to be back in the ballroom this September!
"I just cannot wait to get my dancing shoes back on and hopefully this time around I can actually make it to week one! I’m just over the moon and cannot wait to find out who else is doing it!"
By contrast, Dani was forced to withdraw from Strictly in September 2025 after suffering an injury in training.
She said at the time: "I had a fall on Friday in rehearsals and landed funny. I thought I had rolled my foot but it swelled up badly over the weekend and after an MRI scan yesterday, it turns out I have fractured my ankle.
"Apparently doing the quickstep on a fracture is not advisable and the doctors have said I am not allowed to dance so I’ve had to pull out of the show. To say I’m heartbroken is the biggest understatement."
