The ‘Feel the Noise’ actress, 44, enlisted in the US Army and served for three years.

After she left the military, Zulay

enrolled at the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts to study acting.

'The Single Moms Club' star says her time in the army has influenced her acting career.

She told Galore magazine: “It really opened my mind and helped me to look at the world in an empathetic way. I also think my experience in the army has affected how I approach my work as an actor. It gave me the opportunity to approach my dreams in a realistic way.”
